Hi, I’m Susan Darienzo. I’m a plein air painter who loves taking my oils, brushes, and canvas outdoors to paint right on the spot. There’s something magical about capturing a scene as the light changes — the colors feel more alive, and so do I. I’m especially drawn to flowers, trees, old buildings, and the charm of small towns and historic places.
I first studied art in New York City at the The Art Students League, and I’ve kept learning through plein air groups and workshops in both New Jersey and Florida. I show my work in various festivals and events, and I’m honored to have won First Place twice in the Amateur division at the Lighthouse Gallery Plein Air Event in Tequesta, FL.
My paintings are represented by Miles Gallery in Jupiter, Florida, and can be found in private collections up north and in Florida. When someone connects with one of my pieces, I hope they feel the same sense of calm, beauty, and appreciation that inspired me to paint it in the first place.
