Leah Sonta is an artist, art teacher, and art therapy facilitator based on Florida’s Treasure Coast. Inspired by her faith and the beauty of the natural world, she shares her love of creativity through her artwork, plein-air painting, and private art lessons.
Leah’s artistic journey includes receiving the 1987 Purchase Award at Martin County High School, when the Stuart News purchased her painting, and studying at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Her work has appeared in juried exhibitions and earned numerous awards. Her community involvement includes the Art Associates of Martin County, Jensen Art League, and local plein-air painting groups.
Teaching from her home studio and at locations throughout the Treasure Coast, Leah encourages students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and discover their own artistic expression. Through her paintings, faith-inspired journals, and teaching, she hopes to bring beauty, encouragement, and a sense of possibility to others.
